About Lingo Yurt Online Language Centre |
Ethics and Background
Lingo Yurt is a Northern Ireland-based online languages centre, established in June 2007. The centre comprises two departments: Lingo Yurt Translations and Lingo Yurt School.
Lingo Yurt Translations was established in December 2007 offering services in translation, editing, interpreting, transcription and website localization in 37 Eurasian languages and regional dialects, including some of the rarest languages in the world, to global clients, both individual and corporate.
Lingo Yurt School was originally set up as an independent, free of charge TEFL school with the aim to support and provide educational services customized to the various needs of language learners.
Lingo Yurt is an online language centre where internet users can learn and practise English and German as well as meet with other language learners worldwide. It is our aim to bring English/German to all those with a genuine interest in learning and to foster the language as a means of communication between world cultures.
Lingo Yurt is a non-profit organisation and is made accessible to everyone seeking to study and practise the English/German language online. In the future Lingo Yurt will grow to teaching a variety of languages online, with the aim to foster communication and to support free education around the world.
We like to work closely with our students to ensure that their specific needs are being met by our course curriculum. Therefore, we gladly receive our students' comments and suggestions for improvement
